If you have wickedly cool pictures of ducks or geese with or without bands, either dead or alive, closeup images of waterfowl bands, or wetland habitat / landscape photos that you would like to share, then email them to us.
In return, we will send you an IronBands Decal for free.
Hello Folks - We are making a number of changes, including modifying the site so some things may look strange. No worries we are working on it, and appreciate your patience. Thanks.
Waterfowl hunting videos are killer to watch on their own. They entertain and help us stay connected to the sport we love when we are not in the field.
Videos also remind us about our gear, decoys, and calls. Or our dogs and good friends.
And of course there are the birds.
Floating mallards, back peddling honkers, balls of teal, or the neck break speed of divers, you have to love them all.
Up for grabs is an all black acrylic Tule Short Barrel, double reed timber call from Sutter Basin Duck Calls located in Yuba City, CA. The call is finished with a stainless band. The random drawing details follow.
About the Duck Call
The area known as the Sutter Basin is well known for it's diverse habitat of natural wetlands and cultivated rice, and includes the Federally owned Sutter National Wildlife Refuge. The duck and goose hunting there can be outstanding given the right conditions.
Gene Carter, the founder and owner of Sutter Basin Duck Calls, sent us this beautiful call for the Giveaway.
The Perfect Hunt Initiative™ emerged from our field experiences and discussions with skilled duck and goose hunters from around the country.
The goal is to bring a focused awareness to the waterfowling community about what is possible while in the field during a duck or goose hunt. There are waterfowlers that already know what is possible. They have experienced it, and continue to live it.
There are other duck or goose hunters that have yet to witness the possibilities for a number of reasons. We might use the analogy of the aspiring race car driver that loves to fly down country roads in his private vehicle to illustrate the point.
In light of the recent theft of Jeff Foiles' goose and duck bands, owner of Foiles Migrators, along with his other hunting gear from his truck at the Game Fair in Anoka, MN on the night of August 6, 2010, IronBands.com has initiated a new program to hopefully recover his as well as other lost or stolen bands.
We have received emails from other waterfowlers in the past about lost or stolen bands, but it was not until last night that we realized we could possibly do something about the losses.
